Couscous originated as a Maghrebi dish of small steamed grains of crushed durum wheat semolina that is traditionally served with a stew spooned on top.
It is the official food of Morocco. The dish is extremely popular in other areas like southern France, Sicilia and the Middle East.
The main difference between White Couscous and Wholewheat Couscous is that Wholewheat is higher in fiber and protein.
